Boarding was quite and efficient at gate 48A in LAX, and I was on board and installed as others who were on a very similar itinerary to us, arrived and took their seats.
AA Bloody Mary
While boarding was continuing the crew were good and doing a pre-flight drinks round and I was able to have a Bloody Mary again. It was then the long taxi from Terminal 4 to Runway 24L for our take off to the sun of Hawaii.
There were a few bumps along the road but the flight was generally smooth, with an attentive cabin crew. Breakfast was served, I had pre-ordered the Chicken Sliders which were very tasty indeed.

The choice of films and television programs on the inflight entertainment system was excellent and managed to keep me quiet and in my seat the whole way to Honolulu.
There was time to snooze too but soon we were descending and passing by the other islands as we did so. We the made a 180° turn to line up on runway 08L. It was then a short taxi to gate 18 where we deplaned.
