Waking up early in the morning we had time for a quick dip in the wonderful pool at the Crowne Plaza, before we headed to breakfast, and the inevitable repack before heading back to the terminal and check in for the next flight. The water was crystal clear and refreshing without being cold. While we had breakfast in the club lounge at the hotel, over looking the pool two friends from Miami Florida passed by the window, so we quickly ran out and greeted them.
Checkout done we headed back over to Terminal 2 and checked our luggage in an received our boarding passes for the flight to Kuching from Singapore. Checkin was done quickly and efficiently, as was our departure record from Singapore before we had some time to look around the very comfortable shopping mall which is Singapore Airport. Eventually we made our way up to the lounge which Malaysian Airlines had arranged for us to use, and we enjoyed about 30 minutes there before it was time to head to our gate and the usual security checks. While in the lounge we met another friend who was going the same conference as us in Kuching.
At the gate we meant even more of our friends who were going to the same conference and soon we were on board and seated ready to fly to Malaysia.
Arriving at KCH we quickly passed by the immigration, collected our baggage and were welcomed by the conference agents at the airport for our minibus transfer to the Hilton Kuching.
Checking in and picking our conference pack were the first things on the agenda followed by a siesta for me and a dip in the 25 m outdoor swimming pool. All this before dinner and the welcome drinks, which nobody did find.
