AA 001 First Seat 01A
Having been one of the first to board at gate 7 and soon comfortably installed in my seat the crew soon came round and offered me a glass of champagne to start the day. Amenity kits and menus followed, as well as the rest of the passengers. It was not long before we are pushing back from the gate and were on our way to runway 22 L for our departure.
As turn round towards the west, I managed to get some great shots of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. The start line of the NYC marathon.
The next most important job was eating, so here is the menu:

I had pre-ordered the omelette but decided to take the Fresh Seasonal Fruit plate to start with, it was a bit early for me to have wine, so I stuck with the champagne, and later had a Bloody Mary. The flight was smooth and I was able to catch up on some more sleep, as we glided our way ever westwards, towards the city of angels and LAX.
The entertainment system was more than adequate for a 5 hours flight. The bedding was allowed me to sleep well. About an hour or so out for landing at LAX the crew came round and offered a snack. It has to be said this was nothing very special or exciting. The annoying things about American it that they insist on gathering in the headsets from premium customers with an hour left on the flight. I am sure flying in the premium cabin of American, we do not have to steal their bose headsets. This could even be done a bit later in the flight too.
It was a great flight and we were soon on our approach to LAX landing and quickly arriving at the gate.
